Started in 1995, OFM is a family-owned furniture distributor and wholesaler with an eye on consumer satisfaction.
After working for years as a furniture manufacturing sales representative, Abel Zalcberg saw a market opportunity for a furniture company that could have faster delivery times by keeping inventory in stock. Using personal savings, he and his wife Barbara set up an office in their home, printed up a catalog and sold chairs from vendors Abel had worked with in the past. They believed that quick delivery - take an order in the morning, ship it the same afternoon - would set their young company apart. The plan worked and the company is still known for its fast shipping.
Today, OFM is a thriving wholesale operation that specializes in providing affordable furniture to general businesses and government offices, as well as schools and hospitals. The company's products are also sold through a variety of catalogs and online dealers.
The company sells just about everything needed to furnish an office out of its 124,000 square-foot office and warehouse in Holly Springs. It is currently planning a 15,000 to 16,000 square-foot expansion to allow faster shipping of low-volume products, such as chairs in non-standard colors. OFM also contracts with manufacturers in Mexico, Taiwan and China to design furniture and products that meet its exacting standards. Abel, who has been in the office furniture business for more than 30 years, often personally tests products and sends them back to the factories with suggestions for improvement.
Despite its growth, OFM remains a family affair. Barbara and Abel's son, Blake, started as a 12 year-old filing papers when the business was still based at home and later spent summers and afternoons after school working in the warehouse. He joined OFM full-time four years ago and now serves as the company's chief operating officer.

Before returning any product to OFM you must obtain a return merchandise authorization (RMA) number. The preferred method to obtain this authorization is to contact your sales representative at Better Office. The Return Authorization Number will always have the prefix "CQ." Merchandise returned without the CQ number written on the outside of the carton will be refused by OFM.
Returns are accepted at OFM's North Carolina warehouse ONLY and must be shipped prepaid. No collect shipments will be accepted. Returns for credit must be made within 60 days from the day merchandise was received by customer. Return Authorizations are valid for 30 days from date of issue.
All returns must be shipped in the original OFM carton and are subject to inspection to ensure that all components are included and product is resalable. If customer does not have original cartons, OFM will provide them and will bill for the packaging materials and the freight to get it there.
OFM reserves the right to inspect all returns and determine applicable restocking and/or re-boxing fees, if any. A minimum fee of 25% will apply for re-boxing and/or re-stocking only. Additional fees may be assessed for missing or damaged part(s) or for any product returned in a not like new condition. Special or Custom Orders are not returnable.
All warranty parts are available for replacement at no charge and are shipped via UPS ground service. If upgraded service is required, the customer will be billed the difference in freight. Our freight carriers, including UPS, reserve the right to institute fuel surcharges on some or all shipments, without prior notice.

OFM Limited Lifetime Warranty
OFM Inc hereby warrants that the products distributed by it shall be free of all defects in original material and workmanship for the life of the product under normal use.
Exclusions: This warranty does not apply to:
- Normal wear and tear, which are to be expected over the course of ownership
- Damage resulting from shipment, which will be handled under separate terms
- Damage resulting from storage, alternation, unauthorized repair, infestation, misuse, abuse, accident, acts of God, natural causes, and/or exceeding listed capacities.
- Products used for rental purposes
- Failure to provide reasonable and necessary maintenance(as prescribed in the product instructions).
Seating
All Seating is under warranty for the life of the product under normal use. Limitations involving materials and components are:
- 2 years All Fabrics, and Upholstery Materials
- 7 Years Gas Lifts
Normal Commercial Usage for SEATING is defined as 8 hours a day, 5 days a week with a weight capacity not to exceed 250 lbs.
The models listed below are rated for a 400 lb. Weight capacity and are warranted under the standard Normal Commercial Usage for Seating:

OFM, Inc offers many models covered under warranty for a 24-Hour a day, 7 days a week usage. All standard seating limitations listed above still apply to this category of seating.

X5 and X5 Lite Shelving System
Normal usage for all X5 and X5 Lite Shelving Systems is defined as not over-exceeding the weight capacity per shelf (X5: 800 lbs. per shelf, X5 Lite: 300 Lbs. per shelf evenly distributed) along with using the system on no or low pile carpet to prevent any unbalanced track issues.
All X5 and X5 Lite Components are under OFM Inc.'s Limited Lifetime Warranty under Normal Use as defined above.
