Established in 1939 as the Engineering Supply Company, Mayline has come a long way from its expertise in drafting tables, blueprint files and straightedges.  Though still a market leader in manual drawing, Mayline has moved to the forefront of office ergonomics. Changes and Cancellations:

All cancellations must be confirmed in writing and received three days prior to ship date to be allowed. Custom/Special products cannot be canceled after production has been started.

Shortages and Damage:

Mayline Group will be responsible for filing claims, in their name, for damaged or lost freight and sending out replacement orders at NO CHARGE under the following conditions:

• Product is shipped via a Mayline Group specified common carrier.
• Noticeable damage to the carton or product, and/or missing product must be noted on the delivery receipt. Brief descriptions of the damage are also necessary, i.e. "two File Harbor cabinets damaged near top front, and one C-File carton punctured."
• The recipient must call the delivering carrier to schedule an inspection. All product and packaging must be saved until the inspection takes place.
• The dealer must call Mayline to report the damage or shortage situation to the Transportation Specialist.

For cases of concealed damage, Mayline will take responsibility for placing the freight claim under the following conditions:

• Product is shipped via a Mayline Group specified common carrier.
• Damage is reported to the carrier and Mayline within 7 calendar days of receipt.
• The recipient must call the delivering carrier to schedule an inspection. All product and packaging must be saved until the inspection takes place.
• Replacement orders will be sent out at a charge.
• Mayline will credit the dealer 100% of what we receive in reimbursement from the carrier on the claim.

All merchandise requested to be returned to the originating manufacturer must first be approved and issued a Return Goods Authorization(RGA) number. Please contact the customer service department of Better Office at 866-930-3233 for an authorized return goods number. All returned product must be packed in original carton and in sellable condition. Only product shipped from the originating manufacturer within the past 30 days may be returned. All product must be returned within 30 days of return authorization date or RGA will be cancelled.

Mobile Aisle product is considered custom and cannot be returned.

A 30% refurbishing charge will be applied on all authorized returns for resalable merchandise. The customer is required to pay for the return freight costs. Product must be returned in good condition or the restocking fee may be increased accordingly. If product is poorly packaged and damaged, the freight claim must be pursued by the dealer. Mayline will not issue credit.

LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY

Limitations involving materials and components:

The materials and components listed below are covered according to the following schedule from the date of sale:

• Ten Years: Electrical components, seating controls, seating pneumatic cylinders, wood seating components.
• Five Years: Fabric and leather seating upholstery, seating foam, seating armrests, and veneer finishes.

Exclusions:

This warranty does not apply to:

• Normal wear and tear, which is to be expected over the course of ownership.
• Damage caused by the carrier in-transit, which will be handled under Mayline Group's Freight Damage policy.
• Modifications or attachments to the product that are not approved by Mayline Group.
• Products that were not installed, used or maintained in accordance with product instructions and warnings.
• Products used for rental purposes.

Seating Usage:

Normal commercial usage for seating is to be defined as the equivalent of a single shift within a 40-hour workweek. To the extent that a seating product is used in a manner exceeding this, the applicable warranty period will be reduced in a pro-rata manner (excluding Model 2424AG which is warranted for multiple shifts). Note: Some natural variations occurring in wood or leather materials are inherent in their character, and cannot be avoided. Mayline Group does not warrant the color-fastness or matching of colors, grains, or textures of such materials.

TO THE EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, THE MAYLINE GROUP MAKES NO OTHER WARRANTY, EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. THE MAYLINE GROUP WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES.

The Mayline Group promises to repair or replace any Mayline Group(includes Mayline Company, Tiffany Industries, and Kwik-File) brand product or component manufactured after 1/1/2000, that is defective in material or workmanship for as long as the original purchaser owns it. This is the sole and exclusive remedy. This warranty is subject to limitations, exclusions and other provisions.
